  • Objectives
    The Accounting major prepares individuals for jobs in general accounting, auditing and tax, leading to professional designations such as CGA, CA and CMA. The Financial Services and Administration major prepares individuals for jobs in banking, securities and investments fields leading to professional designations such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner), PFP (Personal Financial Planner), AICB (Associate, Institute of Canadian Bankers), and CIM (Canadian Investment Manager) and securities brokerage. The degree covers sufficient material and knowledge for those students who may wish to consider taking the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) qualifying exams. The degree builds on the two-year diploma and is designed to provide bridging facilities for those graduates who do not have the accounting or business background.

    The degree is designed for individuals with a recognized two-year post secondary diploma who wish to continue with further studies on a degree track.
