• Objectives
  Classics programs have two related aims: first, to provide a solid background to the cultures of ancient Greece and Rome through written documents, including historical and literary sources, and archaeological evidence; and second, to train students to read and interpret texts in ancient Greek and Latin. The Classical Languages and Literature programs emphasize training in Latin and Greek. Ancient authors are studied in the original text.

      * 3 credits in Greek or Roman political, social, economic and cultural history
      * 3 credits in Greek Mythology or Mythology of the Mediterranean Area
      * 3 credits in Greek or Roman Art and Archaeology
      * 6 credits in Honours Seminar and Thesis
