    OPER1050      Introduction To Forecasting And Purchasing
    Description: Developing a basic understanding of the role, responsibilities and procedures to carry out the purchasing function in a retail or industrial environment, this course will teach the principles of forecasting, specification buying, pricing, standards, negotiating, ethics and team decision-making factors in a quality, customer-oriented organization.

    OPER1060     Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

    Description: Explaining the basics of an MRP system, this course covers topics including the master production schedule, lot sizing, phase-shifting, different types of demand, bill of materials, inventory and the various input and outputs of an MRP system. Students will learn the prerequisites to implementing an MRP system and the controls required to maintain it.
