As a human resources student, you will learn about organizational behavior, workplace efficiency and change management, as well as the various ethical and legal issues that HR departments face. You will also develop essential negotiation, communication, listening and conflict resolution skills. In addition, you will study labor relations and learn about the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code. Staffing, benefits, compensation and training and development are also covered. You will gain hands-on experience with a five-week practicum.
