Course description
Prerequisite: Knowledge of basic drawing concepts
Duration: 3-5 days
Goal: Learn Main AutoCAD 2D functionalities to be able to create 2D projects.
Course Plan
I- INTERFACE AND DISPLAY
- Preference and custom interface
- Objects selection
- Zoom and Pan tools
- Delete, undelete objects
- Undo and Redo commands
II- USE AUTOCAD HELP
- How to use Autocad Help
- Find information about a command
III- COORDINATE SYSTEM AND UNITS
- Work with Cartesian and polar coordinates systems
- Distances, Area and Perimeter read information
- Draw with metric and imperial systems
IV- DRAW COMMANDES
- Use the draw command tool bar (LINE, CIRCLE, POLYLINE, HATCH)
- Work with the draw aid tools (ORTHO, POLAR, OSNAP, OTRACK)
V- MODIFICATION COMMANDES
- Use the modify tool bar (COPY, MIRROR, OFFSET, TRIM…)
VI- WORK WITH BLOCKS
-Make block
- Insert block from the same or another draw file
- Work with Design Center and tool palettes
VII- TEXT AND DIMENSION
- Add a text
- Create and modify text style
- Add dimensions
- Manage dimension style
VIII- LAYERS MANAGER
- Make new layers
- Put objects in different layers
- Layers properties control (On, OFF, Lock , Unlock, Color)
IX- PLOTTING AND PAGE SETUP
- Manage page setup
- Plot with scale
- Make PDF et DWF files
X- CREATE AND WORK WITH A TEMPLATE
- Make a template file
- Change and update a template
