Objectives The perioperative RN nursing program curriculum is current and innovative. It reflects the trends and changes that are occurring in the perioperative workplace. The program is grounded by and reflects the national competencies as outlined in the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada: Recommended Standards, Guidelines and Position Statements for Perioperative Registered Nursing Practice.
Practical experience The program offers a combined classroom theory and hands on practical lab as well as clinical placement in teaching and community hospitals.
