Biotechnology Technologist Ontario College Advanced Diploma (compressed fast track)

Objectives The program provides students with a solid foundation in tissue culture, microbial applications, bio-regulations, protein and DNA techniques, chromatographic and spectrographic methods of analysis and advanced laboratory skills relevant to the biotechnology industry. Students also develop a clear understanding of regulatory affairs and ethical implications of this industry and its influence on society.
Practical experience The program provides technical practice with many opportunities for hands-on experience and project based learning. In order to gain valuable practical knowledge, a supervised workplace placement is a component of the fast track program.
Entry requirements The fast track option is designed specifically for applicants with existing academic credentials and provides students with the advanced skills specific to the biotechnology field to complement the post secondary scientific education already achieved.
