    Students completing the Total Benefits Management program will be eligible to earn a designation in two distinct areas of specialization, group benefits (GBA) and group retirement (RPA), from Dalhousie University and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans (IFEBP) subject to successfully completing the required professional exams and complying with its professional requirements.

    * GBAC 401 is equivalent to GBA 1 + GBA 2 + GBA 3 in the IFEBP Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation; RPAC 401 is equivalent to RPA 1 + RPA 2 + RBA 3 in the IFEBP Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) designation

    1. Students successfully completing the program will receive a Graduate Certificate in Total Benefits Management. Qualifying for the GBA, RPA and/or CEBS credentials requires successful completion of the professional examinations and satisfying the principles of conduct and precertification standards.

    2. Additional fees are payable to the IFEBP to be eligible to write external exams to obtain the professionals designations. Registration and exam fees are payable directly to the IFEBP. Students enrolled full-time in the Total Benefits Management Program may be eligible for discounted exam fees.

    3. The dynamic curriculum presented here will be revised as appropriate to retain its currency. Internal curriculum review is ongoing.
