  • Objectives
    The main intent of this program is twofold: First, the program is meant to prepare students with the skills, knowledge, expertise in cutting-edge technologies and best practices necessary for designing, modelling, analyzing, implementing and managing quality systems. Second, the program will put the emphasis on helping each individual acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to maximize his or her potential as a researcher in quality systems, lean engineering and supply chain management. Students will engage in applied research and academic course of study examining existing theory and ways in which these influence the quality of systems, services, products and processes.

    Requirements for Completion

       1. Credits. A fully qualified candidate is required to successfully complete a minimum of 45 credits. Additional credits may be required in some cases.
       2. Courses. Students must take a total of 45 credits of course work including a minimum of 28 credits chosen from the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering's graduate courses. In addition, students must take a non-credit seminar course.

    The breakdown of the 45 credits is as follows:

        * 12 credits from core courses (three 4-credit courses and one non-credit seminar course) in topic area E68
        * 8 credits from program elective courses in topic area E68
        * 20 credits in courses from all topic areas from departments within the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science
        * 5 credits for a project or an elective four credit course and one credit seminar course. The topic of the project should be in the area of Quality Systems Engineering.
