Objectives
This diploma program prepares students to work in public and private settings supporting persons of all ages who may have physical, cognitive and/or developmental disabilities. Candidates should be mature, flexible, accepting, resourceful, creative, self-motivated, good decision makers, and effective team members. Successful applicants are given credit for both course work and field placement based on their past academic and field experience. Students participate in course work and field placement drawn from all levels of the regular two-year program. The DSW one-year intensive program is composed of three semesters delivered over a 12-month period, beginning in September and finishing at the end of the following August.
