    Anthropology focuses on diverse areas of social and cultural life such as religious rituals, livelihood strategies, international development, health and illness, gender, human rights, and environmental stewardship in remote communities as well as cosmopolitan centers. Anthropologists engage in ‘hands-on’ research, often living long-term within the communities in which their research takes place.
