  • Objectives This one-year certificate program is designed to help start your career as a baker or pastry chef. Students receive practical, theoretical and hands-on training in the areas of baking, cake decorating, sanitation and safety, and shop management. Sixty per cent (60%) of your time is spent in our on-campus baking and pastry laboratories. Graduates are eligible to receive the baker Red Seal provincial certification by completing 5,100 on-the-job hours, and by writing the provincial examiniation.
