When you join the University of Regina, you become part of a forward-moving, energized community built on a solid history .

We started out as Regina College back in 1911 and since then, the U of R has been offering students from across the province and around the world opportunities to learn and grow.

Today, we are recognized as a dynamic, innovative university where excellent teaching and leading-edge research are happening side-by-side. At the same time, the quality of student life and the services available to support student achievement are second to none.

It's a great place to be a student!

The right choice

Students tell us the University of Regina is "just the right size". Big enough for world-class faculty and exciting research . Small enough that students at all levels find their professors approachable and willing to help. Big enough to attract students from more than 90 countries. Small enough that all students can easily get involved and become part of our campus community.

The right size for you!

The University of Regina has a broad range of programs to offer undergraduate students and exciting opportunities for graduate students .

Students also have the choice of studying in one of three federated colleges that offer U of R programs: Campion College , Luther College and First Nations University of Canada , the only university-level institution in North America run by First Nations peoples.

All of our students enjoy state-of-the-art facilities and excellent services. Our campus is located in a beautiful park setting in the middle of the city of Regina . A medium-sized prairie city and the capital of the province of Saskatchewan , Regina is known for its friendly people, opportunities to participate in community life and spectacular sunsets.

The U of R is open to new ideas and different ways of doing things, and has a reputation for distinctive, innovative programs.

Interdisciplinary study and research is encouraged, giving both faculty and students exciting opportunities to work together on projects that are of common interest but cross disciplines. Adaptation to climate change and innovative uses of the Wii are just two of many examples.

The University also fosters close connections with Regina and its surrounding community, giving students opportunities to do research in real-life settings, as well as gain work experience through co-op placements and internships .

Our campus community

We have a modern, growing campus located in Wascana Centre , the largest urban park in North America.

Growth on campus has been rapid over the last few years and includes a state-of-the-art Research and Innovation Centre, two new residences and a new Centre for Kinesiology, Health and Sport with facilities that include five gyms, an elevated running track and an amazing fitness centre.

Almost all our buildings are connected by enclosed walkways so you can stay inside on cold winter days!

Need a break from studying? Cycle, run, walk or rollerblade on the multi-use path that extends east and west of the University to the edges of the city, stroll around Wascana Lake, take in a concert at the nearby Conexus Arts Centre or an exhibit at the MacKenzie Art Gallery or explore the city's shops, restaurants and clubs.

The City of Regina , with 200,000 people, is big enough to satisfy all your needs but small enough that you will quickly feel at home.

Or stay right on campus where close to 12,000 students, including 1,100 living in residence, ensure there is a vibrant student life .

Attend a concert or play or make your own music through the Faculty of Fine Arts . Visit the Fifth Parallel Gallery , watch the U of R Cougars or Rams play, work out at the fitness centre, join a student club or intramural team or take in one of the many special events on campus.

There's also a whole range of student services providing health care, help for students with disabilities, writing skills support, English as a Second Language and much more.

What can I study?
