The University of Winnipeg

Información

The University of Winnipeg is a dynamic campus in transition. We are becoming the downtown hub that connects people from diverse cultures and nurtures global citizens. We offer high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs including several that are unique in Western Canada, for example, a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and Global Studies, and a Master’s degree in Aboriginal Governance. Our graduates value their educational experience, and in the June 2008 issue of Maclean’s Graduate Survey, ranked UWinnipeg in the Top-10 of all Canadian universities. This vote of confidence is backed by the Globe & Mail Report Card 2008, which gives UWinnipeg an overall “A” grade.

A quick stroll across Portage Commons and around our expanding campus highlights our focus as a leader in academic excellence, Aboriginal education, environmental studies, and theatre and arts. Renovations are underway at the CanWest Centre for Theatre & Film. Construction has started on the Richardson College for the Environment & Science Complex and a new student residence, McFeetors Hall. The newly renovated Duckworth Centre, including The Bill Wedlake Fitness Centre now attracts students, staff and members of the public to its state-the-art facilities.

We offer small class sizes and a dedicated team of professors, sessional instructors and support staff. Whether you are a new or returning student, I want to personally welcome you to The University of Winnipeg.
