  • Course description
    natomy and Physiology 1, (SCIE-0005) 6 Credits: This course follows the approved Health Education Alliance Core Curriculum used by the colleges and universities in Manitoba. It is designed to enable the learner to understand essential topics regarding the body that a practical nurse must know to effectively care for the physical needs of the client. Selected pathophysiology topics are also included.

    The course includes labs to give actual “hands-on” knowledge of structures and processes studied.

    This is the first half of the complete Anatomy and Physiology study; upon completion, the student will understand how anatomy and physiology are inseparably associated. Students will be able to recognize normal body conditions and will understand how selected pathophysiology develops and affects the body.

    Anatomy and Physiology 2, (SCIE-0006) 6 Credits
    (Pre-requisite:  Anatomy & Physiology 1, SCIE-0005)
