You’ll find many opportunities to stay active and have fun at Algonquin. We have men’s and women’s varsity teams in basketball, volleyball, soccer, golf and curling. Our teams have been Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) provincial finalists or champions in all sports in the last few years, and Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) National Champions in men’s soccer in the 2002–03 season.
If you’d prefer to play recreationally, we have a selection of intramural sports for all levels. Algonquin students also have access to the Fitness Zone, a 20,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility featuring workout equipment, personal trainers, dry saunas and everything you need to help keep your body and mind going strong!
Learning from experience is about seeking out new opportunities for personal growth. One of the best ways is through participation and leadership in extra-curricular activities. The SA organizes athletic activities and events, manages campus pubs, and oversees special-interest clubs and associations.
