Objectives:
The Certificate in Modern Chinese Language (Mandarin) and Culture aims to provide minimum language competency in Mandarin Chinese and, through the inclusion of courses on culture, literature and topics offered by other departments (history, religion, and political science), a broad overview of Chinese culture.
Entry Requirements:
The Certificate is designed for members of the community who are not already enrolled at Concordia University, but wish to take this area of study.

Course Description:
  • 21 credits in Modern Chinese Language (Mandarin)
  • 9 credits chosen from Introductory courses in Business Chinese (Mandarin), Modern Chinese Literature, Special Topics in Chinese Language and Culture, history, political science or religion *

* Students may select a maximum of six credits from one subject area.
