Comments about Bachelor of Engineering in Building Engineering - At the institution - Montreal - Québec

  • Objectives
Building Engineering involves all aspects in the life cycle of enclosed built facilities (conception, planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation), whether these facilities are commercial, residential, industrial or institutional. The building engineer, as the title implies, considers the design of the complete building: its structural properties, energy analysis, the materials to be used, the choice of heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, lighting requirements and electrical power requirements. The ultimate goal is the provision of a comfortable indoor environment, with respect to the thermal, visual and acoustic comfort while following a sustainable design approach.
